11 Badass Conspiracy Theory Movies

Even with Bush out of the oval office, and 9/11 many years in our rear view mirror, America is still fascinated by conspiracy theories. Why? Well, who doesn’t love tapped phones, untraceable weapons, and secret government agents in Ray Bans? Perhaps you’re one of the many who believe that the government or corporate America is recording everything we do and say. And if you’re anything like Daniel McCarthy from the new KoldCast series, “Tyranny”, maybe you’re even on a quest to do something about it. But conspiracy theorist or not, you have to admit it’s fun to ponder the possibilities, and even moreso to watch the little guy kick some serious Big Brother ass. To get you in the mood for the first few bad-ass episodes of “Tyranny”, here’s a compilation of badass films that dabble in conspiracies both eerily realistic and hyper-realistic.

9 Comic-Book Costumes That Actually Look Good In Movies

The biggest miracle about Iron Man 2 so far is that Black Widow's skintight jumpsuit looks decent. Often, superhero costumes from comics are just ridiculous on the big screen. Here are 10 other comic-to-movie costume translations that actually work. It's easy to think of superhero costumes that have looked ridiculous on film — most of them have. A lot of comic-book costumes really only work in two dimensions, and especially many superheroine costumes would be a bizarre disaster if a flesh-and-blood woman tried to do any action scenes in them. Even the relatively sane comic-book costumes often fail to make the jump to movies, though — for my money, there has never been a non-absurd Batsuit on screen, including in the two Nolan films. I considered expanding this list to include television, but I honestly couldn't think of an example of a comic-book character costume that didn't look at least somewhat ridiculous in its television version.

Freeware Files: 5 Apps for Advanced Virus/Malware Elimination!

Alright, I'll admit it. I finally got hit with a virus. Well, sort-of. I first thought that the strange "YOUR COMPUTER IS NOT PROTECTED" icon in my taskbar was some indication that my antivirus software of-choice had finally flipped out for good. Double-clicking on the icon brought up an obviously fake replica of Windows Security Essentials that, more annoyingly, wouldn't close no matter how many times I clicked on it. Over and over, my machine would be assaulted with "*.exe is not secure!" messages. My Internet sessions grinded to a halt no matter which browser I tried using. I started to fear for the safety of my World of Warcraft account. As it turns out, I only got nailed with an annoying piece of malware. But after running through a number of analysis and removal techniques, I had amassed quite a list of rootkit removal programs, hardcore malware eliminators, and antivirus applications that were more surgeons in training than general practitioners. I now share them with you.
