6 Of Conan's Holiday Super Slo-Mo Camera Moments, Armie Hammer, Sheamus and More
Slow motion (commonly abbreviated as slowmo) is an effect in film-making whereby time appears to be slowed down. It was invented by the Austrian priest August Musger. Typically this style is achieved when each film frame is captured at a rate much faster than it will be played back. When replayed at normal speed, time appears to be moving more slowly. The technical term for slow motion is overcranking which refers to the concept of cranking a handcranked camera at a faster rate than normal (i.e. faster than 24 frames per second). Slow motion can also be achieved by playing normally recorded footage at a slower speed. This technique is more often applied to video subjected to instant replay, than to film.
Top 10 Banned Movie Posters
What’s the best way to sell your movie when you’re painfully aware that it ranks only marginally above a Twilight fan-fiction in artistic merit? That’s right, a shocking and attention-snatching poster! It’s no secret that people love controversy, and often advertisers use this to their advantage in promoting films (both good and otherwise). This poster – featuring Woody Harrelson wearing nothing but a pair of star-spangled underwear – was banned by the Motion Picture Association of America, which didn’t clarify whether the ban was for its excessive sexuality or offensive religious symbolism (Harrelson is posed like Jesus on the cross, between a pair of female legs). The movie itself focuses on censorship – relish the irony here. In any case, we’re pretty sure the real reason for the ban is that showing Woody Harrelson wearing nothing but a diaper is legally considered a human rights infringement.

What's more expensive than going to college? Until recently, the answer was easy: not going to college. 10 Most Educated Darwin Award Winners
The Darwin Awards is a time-honored way to laugh at people who stupidly risk life and limb in the dumbest ways possible. Since its formal creation in 1993, the website has chronicled ridiculous deaths and injuries from around the world, and a book series was also launched in 2000. In 2006, a Hollywood comedy, The Darwin Awards, starring Joseph Fiennes and Winona Ryder, was even made based on the honors. What’s most interesting about the Darwin Awards to us, though, is that although “winners” are often various flavors of idiot, some have been highly qualified and supposedly intelligent members of society. Yes, philosophers, scientists and postgraduate students have all received this medal of dishonor.
